Editorial Book Review:

By SB Borcy

I'm Going to Kill that Cat! It grabs your attention right away with its strange charm and clever mystery, making it stand out in the crowded cozy mystery genre. It's like curling up with a warm cup of tea and watching the chaos unfold. There is suspense, humor, and a wonderfully twisted sense of fun that keeps you turning pages. F. Della Notte writes characters with sharp wit and distinct personalities. This makes the main character's journey both relatable and fun on a personal level.

The book is funny and suspenseful, and it talks about how curiosity, human mistakes, and the unexpected effects of our actions can be. Besides the story, it talks about universal ideas about community, loyalty, and the small mysteries that happen every day. F. Della Notte's writing is interesting, fast-paced, and full of vivid details that bring the strange characters and the setting to life. The dialogue is fun, and the way the story balances tension and humor is especially impressive.

Some mystery readers might be able to guess some of the twists, but the charm, pacing, and humor make it a fun read no matter what. When the main character makes smart guesses and when funny things go wrong that seem completely believable in the story's world, those are some of the best parts.

Overall, I'm Going to Kill that Cat! is a great start to the Housekeeper Mystery Series. It has funny moments, suspense, and a cast of characters you'll want to follow. People who like cozy mysteries, animals, or smart, character-driven stories with a little bit of trouble will love it. F. Della Notte's mix of humor and mystery is so good that this book stays with you long after you've read the last page.

About the Author

F. Della Notte

F. Della Notte writes traditional and cozy mysteries and crime stories. She is the author of the HOUSEKEEPER MYSTERY SERIES: I’m Going to Kill That Cat, Catwalk Dead, and The Church Murders and the Cat’s Prey. Her current stand-alone, Descent into Hell, a Mafia Story, will one day have a sequel.

In her life away from the computer screen, paper, and pens, Della Notte is Francine Paino, an Italian-American, a native New Yorker, and a Texas transplant, living in Austin with her husband and quasi-psychic cat, Miss Millie, where she loves melding all three cultures into her stories and her passion for cooking. She infuses her recipes with Italian, New York, and Texas cuisine, making them all gluten-free. A cookbook is in her future.

She blesses her readers and listens for the muse’s whisper deep within her, inspiring more stories and culinary creations.
