Editorial Book Review:

By Pily Rivero

Some books feel like a quiet invitation rather than a loud announcement, and Meet Me at the Well is very much that kind of experience. From the first pages, Coralia Leyderman draws the reader into a reflective space where stillness and curiosity work together, making the act of reading feel less like consumption and more like a shared pause in a busy world. There is a gentle pull to her storytelling that encourages you to slow down and really listen to what is being said between the lines.

When you read this book, it feels like you're sitting across from someone who is honest and thoughtful. The mood is mostly warm and reflective, with some parts that make you smile quietly and others that make you think more deeply about faith, connection, and personal growth. The book doesn't rush to give answers; instead, it lets questions hang in the air in a way that feels respectful and human.

At its core, the story explores themes of meeting, waiting, and renewal. The well is more than just a physical place; it stands for the times in life when we stop and think about where we are and who we are becoming. These ideas apply to more than one situation and speak to people who are going through changes, looking for clarity, or just want to feel calm.

Leyderman’s writing style is clean and inviting, with imagery that feels grounded rather than ornamental. She often uses small, ordinary moments to reveal larger emotional truths, which gives the book a sense of intimacy. The structure unfolds at an unhurried pace, allowing each reflection to breathe. At times, readers who prefer a faster narrative might find the tempo challenging, but that same gentleness is what gives the book its distinctive voice.

Some parts stick with you, especially the ones that talk about what it means to be seen at the well and how easy it is to get there. The book leaves a soft but lasting impression by the end, reminding readers that meaning is often found in the small things we do and the quiet places we choose to be.

About the Author

Coralia Leyderman

Coralia “Cora” Leyderman is the author of Meet Me at the Well. As a woman who has walked the broken road of an abusive marriage and divorce, Cora writes from a place of deep empathy, hard-won healing, and restoration.

After a season marked by betrayal, loss, and divorce, Cora began a long journey toward restoration. While her transformation was forged over a decade of walking with the Lord, her writing was birthed from a recent season of asking Him for lasting freedom and deeper healing. Jesus’ response was Meet Me at the Well: healing for her, but a calling to walk alongside women who are navigating their own seasons of pain, shame, and shattered lives through the pages of the book. Cora’s mission is to remind every woman that her story is not over, and that in the hands of the Redeemer, no pain is ever wasted.

Cora is a wife and mother of three, which she considers her greatest earthly accomplishment. She is also a licensed Physician Assistant and holds a master’s degree in bioethics.
