Review by Michael Beas

In "Resilience: A Different Kind of Strong," author Jenn Henry takes us on an extraordinary journey of transformation, hope, and self-discovery. Her personal narrative paints a picture of her path from addiction, homelessness, and self-loathing to a life filled with purpose, resilience, and personal freedom. Not everyone has the courage to lift themselves up after they have fallen and this book is one of perseverance and one of never giving up. The best thing I found about this book is that is not only a personal story but it is also written from a recovery specialist, which provides readers with a practical roadmap to foster abundance, happiness, and success while serving others.

Henry's connects with readers on a profound level. Her writing is honest and true, allowing readers a glimpse into the depths of her struggles and the soaring heights of her victory. I found myself rooting for her every step of the way, making this not just a self-help book but also an engaging memoir of resilience, transformation and change.

For me personally one of the book's qualities is its practicality. Henry lays out a clear and actionable guide for readers to follow. She emphasizes the importance of inspired action over fear-based action, encouraging us to break free from the shackles of self-doubt and people-pleasing tendencies. Her step-by-step approach helps us identify what truly matters in our lives and provides guidance on letting go of what doesn't serve our well-being.

Part of the process that I found useful was learning how to evaluate various aspects of our lives, from relationships and health to career, finances, and spirituality. By encouraging introspection and self-awareness, "Resilience" equips readers with the tools needed to take control of their lives and make decisions aligned with their own truth and desires. The message is clear: we have the power to set boundaries, prioritize our well-being, and create a life of personal freedom without feeling guilty for doing so.

"Resilience: A Different Kind of Strong" is a book for those who are in search of inspiration, guidance, and a path to a life filled with joy, abundance, health, and success. Her words resonate deeply in my life and throughout the world, reminding us that true strength lies in our ability to overcome obstacles and create a life we genuinely look forward to living. This book is a powerful testament to the resilience of the human spirit, and I recommend it to anyone on their journey of self-discovery and personal growth.
