About the Author

Michael Lucker

Michael Lucker is an author, screenwriter, producer, and lecturer in creative writing. A graduate of Boston University, he began his career in Los Angeles, working in production on hit films like Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade, Jurassic Park, and Back to the Future II & III before becoming a screenwriter for major studios including Disney, DreamWorks, Paramount, Fox, and Universal. His credits include Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (Oscar-nominated, 2002), Vampire in Brooklyn, and Disney’s Home on the Range, as well as animated sequels to Mulan, Lilo & Stitch, and 101 Dalmatians.

He later founded Lucky Dog Filmworks in Atlanta, consulting on projects for Turner Entertainment and networks such as NBC, Discovery, and A&E. An experienced educator, he lectures at the University of North Georgia, mentors in Reinhardt University’s MFA program, and created Georgia Film Academy’s high school screenwriting curriculum, now taught to over 15,000 students.
