Editorial Book Review:

By William Reimers

Some stories don't just tell you about a hero; they also make a world where being who you are is something to be proud of. This idea is fully embraced in Carlos Lozano's Super Super Charro (Second Edition). It takes a character from a culture and turns it into something big and bright, making a story that is both fun and important at the same time.

Reading it feels energetic and warm, almost like being told a story out loud with enthusiasm. The pages make you feel proud, but they do it in a way that doesn't feel too heavy. At first, the experience seems light, but it makes you think about who you are and what it means to accept where you came from. It has a clear goal, a good rhythm, and a good tone that make people want to read it. It is easy to read and still makes sense.

The main themes of the book are self-esteem, cultural pride, and feeling like you belong. The charro figure is more than just a character; it represents strength and tradition. These ideas are about more than just the setting; they are about a deeper need to be seen and appreciated. The story shows that it's good for you and others to be okay with who you are.

Lozano's style is direct and expressive, and the way the story is structured keeps it moving while still letting important parts stand out. The language uses strong images and a sense of movement to make the character come to life in a way that sticks with you. The story is told in a way that is both playful and exaggerated, which works in its favor and gives the book a confident and lively tone. The pacing stays the same, which makes it easy to follow without losing its energy.

By the end, the book leaves behind a feeling of positivity and affirmation. It is the kind of story that invites readers to carry a bit of that confidence with them. For anyone looking for something uplifting with a strong sense of identity at its center, this book offers a lively and meaningful reading experience.
