By LD Clarke

When I first started reading this book, I was immediately pulled into a world with a lot of history, complicated relationships, and amazing strength. What impressed me most was how the author skillfully combined love, politics, and personal growth into a single story. Our main character's trip through early 20th-century Ireland and her ties to important people in the time were interesting, shedding light on a time period that is often forgotten. It was interesting that she was both an inspiration to artists and an involved member of political movements; it kept me turning the pages.

I thought one of the best things about the book was how well it showed how complicated the main character's personal and work relationships were. The way she balanced her desire for freedom with her strong bonds with others made it feel real and easy to relate to. She wasn't just talking about the big events in her life; she was also talking about the inner struggles and successes that came with each choice she made. At this point in time, it was nice to see a woman dealing with love, power, and identity in such a complex way.

The author wrote beautifully, describing things without getting too wordy. What I liked most about the story was that it wasn't bogged down in too many details. Instead, it let the historical context come out easily. All of the characters were well-drawn, and the way they interacted with the main character brought the story to life. What really impressed me was how the author balanced historical events with the main character's mental and emotional trip.

When the book was over, I had thought about the ideas of being strong, not giving up, and growing as a person. Women have always had to fight for who they are and what they want to do. This story is about all of those people. That being said, I think this book will speak to anyone who likes historical fiction that feels very personal and very current. Not many things can bring the past to life and teach us lessons that will always be useful.
