The sweetness and kindness of this story drew me in from the first page. The adventure starts off in such a fun and creative way as the main character moves into a new home and starts to explore. It quickly struck a chord with me that the main idea was to explore a new place and find magic there. It was both touching and exciting how the author showed how excited and curious a child is when they are in a new place.

The thing that stood out to me most about this book was how well it mixed fantasy and reality. Anthony Mazzurco worked as an electrical engineer in the field of telecommunications for 38 years. With a desire to teach and share information, during that time he also taught several technical courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Now, being retired, he is able to more thoroughly enjoy being with family and seeing the imaginations and the desire to learn develop in young people.

This book was written with the intent of helping to stimulate the imaginations of beginning readers so that they may participate in and enjoy the wonders that the world has to offer.
