Cindy Benezra is an author, speaker, and philanthropist dedicated to changing the narrative around sexual trauma. As a survivor herself, she believes you are more than the circumstances that have made up your life so far. You cannot change what has happened, but only how we react now. 


Through her acclaimed memoir, Under the Orange Blossoms, Cindy shares her personal journey of resilience to inspire bravery in others. To expand her reach and provide hope to a global audience, the memoir will soon be released in Spanish. 


While Under The Orange Blossoms tells the story of her survival, Cindy is currently developing a practical companion for the healing journey. Her new gentle trauma workbook, Bloom Where it Hurts is set to release this Spring. While the memoir shares the story, the workbook provides a guide to actively work through trauma. 


Based in Seattle and founder of the platform CindyTalks, Cindy continues to destigmatize mental health and therapy, sparking ‘system-changing” conversations that prove there is always a path toward healing. 


When she’s not speaking or making new connections, she enjoys entertaining, decorating, discovering new recipes and gardening.
