Editorial Book Review:
By Marcos Buttler
Transformation in business can feel overwhelming, but this book makes it clear that it doesn’t have to be. The concept of the flywheel as a structured yet flexible approach to change is brilliant. Instead of offering vague motivational advice, the authors break transformation into tangible steps, showing how small, consistent movements create momentum. I appreciated how every part of the flywheel—purpose, people, priorities, and beyond—interacts to form a system that keeps an organization moving forward rather than stalling out after an initial burst of energy.
What stood out the most was how practical and applicable the guidance is. It’s one thing to talk about change, but it’s another to lay out exactly how to make it happen. The real-world case studies illustrate each concept, making it easy to see how these principles apply across industries. The blend of leadership insights, behavioral science, and strategy is seamless, giving a full picture of what truly drives long-term success.
The writing is interesting and strikes a balance between depth and clarity. The authors make sure that their writing is easy to understand, even when they are discussing complicated subjects, without oversimplifying anything. I kept thinking about how these concepts are relevant not only to big companies but also to personal development and how teams work together. There’s a strong human element throughout—transformation isn’t just about numbers and processes; it’s about the people who drive it and the passion behind it.
This book is a must-read for leaders, entrepreneurs, and anyone involved in steering a business through change. It provides a clear framework while leaving room for adaptation, ensuring that anyone—whether leading a startup or a multinational company—can find value in it. More than just a guide to business transformation, it’s a roadmap to building a sustainable, purpose-driven organization that thrives in an ever-changing world.
